The Boissevain Broncos are provincial high school “A” varsity girls volleyball champions for the second time in school history.
The Broncos swept the Rosenort Redhawks 25-21, 25-19 in the championship game Saturday in Grandview.
Boissevain beat Rivers and St. Paul's Collegiate of Elie and lost to Elton and Strathclair in the round robin.
The Broncos defeated Deloraine 25-23, 25-19 in the quarterfinals and then rallied for a 24-26, 25-18, 18-16 victory over Elton in the semifinals.
Quinn Billaney was named the MVP and received the Players Choice Award.
Andrea Paulsen and Trinity Billaney were named tournament All-Stars.
The Broncos won their first championship banner in 1989.
