Cameron Rowat and Jesse Bernard scored in the shootout as the Southwest Cougars edged the Eastman Selects 3-2 Sunday in Beausejour. Rowat and Daylon Creasy did the goal scoring for Southwest in regulation. Cougars goaltender Brian Archibald stopped 26 shots including both shots he faced in the shootout. The Cougars, who downed the Interlake Lightning 7-4 Saturday in Arborg, are in first place in the Manitoba "AAA" Midget Hockey League's West Division with a record of 6-2-0-1. Southwest will continue it's four game road trip this weekend. The Cougars will meet the Winnipeg Wild at MTS IcePlex on Friday and then play the Central Plains Capitals Saturday in MacGregor.
